·Collect what you love.

·Create intimate spaces in an open floor plan.

·Lamp shades are like hats – they go in and out of style.

·Lamps are just as important to the final dress of your room as your Easter bonnet is to your spring outfit.

·Reupholstering? Patterned fabrics take more yardage than solids (due to aligning the pattern.)

·The color of the floor is just as important as that of the walls or ceiling.

Ever since I was a little girl, my parents would take me to auctions, estate sales, and antique stores as they collected amazing pieces of furniture, art, rugs, and jewelry. It runs in my blood. My mother, Debbie Calvo, is also a certified Interior Decorator and has been decorating beautiful homes for years. From collecting a variety of patterned china to original art, those are the little things that make a house a home.

Even though I studied ceramics and painting in college (hello color wheel!), it wasn’t until after I graduated Clemson University that I became a certified Interior Decorator. Until now, I’ve always used that education in my wedding designs, linen selections, and floor plans… but now, I’m ready to help you create the beautiful haven you’ve always wanted to retreat to.
